New Gift Shop and Art Gallery now opened beside Esther’s in the old Victorian House.
The Prentice Gallery first opened up ten years ago when a beautiful old Victorian house was acquired. The renovation was very sympathetically carried out with great care taken to retain the charm and character that only an old building seems to have. There are 5 rooms to browse around alongside the enchanting period hall with its original pitched pine staircase and mosaic tiled floor.
Art collectors and enthusiasts alike as well as those who simply like to have a wee look can admire the lovely canvases that have been so tastefully displayed. Paul, whose passion for art has led to the rekindling of the Prentice Gallery has brought in many great pieces by some established painters along side a few up and coming artists.
The Prentice Gallery stocks work by a host of artists including;
Louise Mansfield, Dennis Orme Shaw, Markey Robinson, Ross Wilson, Noel Shaw, Gerard Burns, JB Vallely, Neil Shawcross, David Gordon Hughes, Lorna Millar, Maurice Crawshaw, Colin Fleck, Trevor McElnea, Brian Ballard, Terry Bradley, Jonathan Aiken and Colin Turner. We often stock other paintings by these artists that aren’t displayed on the web site so please contact Paul if you wish to know about other work.
Prices range from £199 and are all exquisitely framed.
